- Download Equalizer APO from the project's official page on SourceForge.
- At the end of the install, tick the device you output game sound to — your headphones or speakers.
- Restart the computer: without it the filter won't hook into the audio path.
Basic setup for footsteps
Footsteps and most close sounds live in the mid frequencies. Gently raise roughly the 1–4 kHz band and slightly cut the very lowest frequencies so explosions and shots don't bury everything else. Don't overdo it: an aggressive boost makes the sound harsh and tiring over a match.
How this ties into PUBG URC
On the app's "Equalizer" tab your settings are stored in your account and restored after a reinstall. If something is missing on the system, the tab tells you what to add. The audio itself is processed by Equalizer APO — the app just manages the presets conveniently.
