Secret rooms: map markers and limitations

An experimental feature

The catalogue shows predefined landmarks, not live room contents. Doors, keys, loot and availability depend on the current game version. A marker does not guarantee access or item spawns. Taego coordinates were refined in client 3.4.10.7; this is a catalogue correction, not a claim that every location was checked in today's match.

Useful evidence for a Taego marker

Include the full map, its name and a zoomed area with roads and shoreline. A neighbouring house alone does not establish a room coordinate. On Taego, distinguish the room from nearby buildings and compare the marker in the current client.

Enable and verify

  1. Open Map and enable secret rooms. Select the actual map, not just its size.
  2. Open PUBG's map and return to the full view, zoom 0. Markers should align with landmarks.
  3. Markers hide when zooming in because the overlay does not place them on the enlarged map. This is expected behaviour.
  4. Use the configured app key to hide them temporarily; the default is the `/Ё key below Esc.
  5. Vikendi's catalogue may also include lab camps and bear caves; these are different kinds of location.

Reporting a wrong point

Send a full map with its name and marker, then a close-up showing the correct building. Include client and game versions. A close-up without a global landmark is not enough to identify coordinates reliably. Taego's official map is useful as a base map but is not a complete secret-room catalogue.

Keep measurement separate

Room markers and distance calculation are separate features. Correcting a room point does not change your grid calibration or require changing mortar range. If every marker looks wrong, first check map selection, zoom and the map's screen position.
